- Using the selection tools
- YThe Tools palette contains two selection tools: the Smart Selection tool and the Object
- ZSelection tool. You generally use the Smart Selection tool as you work. When this tool is
- Ractive, the pointer changes shape as you move it in a document window, indicating
- 6whether you select text or an object when you click.
- XTo work only with objects, use the Object Selection tool. When this tool is active, you
- t select text. To keep the Object Selection tool active after you draw an object, hold
- 1down Shift and click the Object Selection tool.
- gYou can also use the
- to force object selection. Hold down the Option key and click a
- 4text line or text column to select it as an object.
- Creating graphics
- iTo create graphics (except for

- To create a text line:
